No, you cannot turn the light off; however, the light should only be on when the cleaner is in use and should shut off automatically when it is not in use. Once you have placed the CPAP pieces you will be sanitizing into the light tray and shut the door; the UV light is activated. That UV light only stays on for the duration of the cleaning cycle. Once the unit has successfully disinfected the pieces of your CPAP equipment in the light tray, the UV light turns off so that it is safe for you to open the door to the light chamber. Your CPAP equipment is now safe for immediate use and the light should be off.
